Which Way to the Starlite is my first full-length album featuring vocals (gasp!) in almost twenty years and the first volume of the soon to be three volume The Steel & Flower Cities Sessions album series. To say I'm proud to finally have this out there would be an understatement. A lot of the usual blood, sweat and tears has gone into making this album and I hope you hear that in every note and every single word. The album that started it all, way back in 1993 (then titled Black Cat). After a failed first attempt at releasing an album with an outside producer (-cough- Don't Look Back -cough-), I decided to take things into my own hands and produce an album under my own record label. Black Cat was originally released in October of 1993 and was one of the top selling Independent releases for two years running after that. This reissue is remastered and renamed, appropriately, Life Alone for 2022.
